Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the services of Sub Zero Repair Manhasset. By scheduling a service appointment or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services

Sub Zero Repair Manhasset provides appliance repair and maintenance services for residential appliances, specializing in luxury and high-end brands including Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, Viking, Miele, Gaggenau, and others.

Our services include but are not limited to:

  • Diagnostic assessment of appliance issues
  • Repair of malfunctioning appliances
  • Replacement of defective parts
  • Preventive maintenance services

2. Service Call Fee

A service call fee of $95 is charged for each diagnostic visit. This fee:

  • Covers the technician's travel and diagnostic time
  • Is due at the time of the service call
  • Will be credited toward the repair cost if you proceed with the repair
  • Is non-refundable if you decline the repair

3. Estimates and Authorization

Before performing any repair work:

  • We will provide a written estimate detailing the repair cost
  • Work will only proceed with your verbal or written authorization
  • If additional issues are discovered during repair, we will contact you for authorization before proceeding
  • Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date provided

4. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services. We accept:

  • Major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)
  • Debit cards
  • Personal or business checks

A returned check fee of $35 will be applied for any checks returned by the bank.

5. Warranty

All repairs are backed by our 90-day warranty covering:

  • Parts installed during the repair
  • Labor performed for the specific repair

The warranty does not cover:

  • Issues unrelated to the original repair
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or neglect
  • Damage from power surges, floods, or other external factors
  • Cosmetic damage
  • Issues caused by unauthorized repairs or modifications

6. Parts

We use OEM-quality parts that meet or exceed manufacturer specifications. Replaced parts become the property of Sub Zero Repair Manhasset unless otherwise requested at the time of service. Customer-supplied parts may be installed at our discretion but are not covered by our warranty.

7. Scheduling and Cancellation

Appointment scheduling:

  • Appointments are scheduled within a 2-4 hour arrival window
  • We will call approximately 30 minutes before arrival when possible
  • An adult (18+) must be present during the service call

Cancellation policy:

  • Please provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations
  • Same-day cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee
  • No-shows (missed appointments without notice) will be charged the service call fee

8. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the cost of the repair services provided. We are not liable for consequential, incidental, or indirect damages, including but not limited to food spoilage, loss of use, or business interruption. Our maximum liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service.

9. Property Access

By scheduling a service call, you grant our technicians permission to access your property and the appliance requiring service. You agree to provide safe and clear access to the appliance. We are not responsible for any damage to items blocking access to the appliance or for appliances installed in non-compliant locations.

10. Independent Service Provider

We are an independent appliance repair service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking, Thermador, Miele, Gaggenau, Bosch, or any other appliance manufacturer mentioned on this website. All brand names, logos, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only. We use OEM-quality and manufacturer-spec replacement parts.

11. Disputes

Any disputes arising from our services will be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be subject to binding arbitration in Nassau County, NY, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

12. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with any service estimates and authorizations, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sub Zero Repair Manhasset regarding our services.
